Growing North Minneapolis

OUR MISSION

Growing North Minneapolis is a community-driven collaboration with the University of Minnesota, which focuses on youth and their communities. Through intergenerational mentorship and urban agriculture, we advance environmental, social and racial justice in North Minneapolis.

OUR PROGRAMS

NORTH HIGH SCHOOL

Community members work with an ecology teacher in the NSTEM Academy at North High School to bring agriculture, food and natural resources curriculum into the classroom.

SUMMER

STEP-UP youth work together with community mentors and University of Minnesota undergraduate students to care for Northside community gardens, distribute food throughout the community and sell to markets.
